UK Great Britain and Northern Ireland

The United Kingdom, home to some of the most famous attractions in the world, prestigious shopping malls, world class hotels, exceptional scenery, diverse people and interesting cultures. It is also home to fanatical football fans, Yorkshire pudding, haggis, the Royal Family, and the birthplace of rock and roll. The United Kingdom consists of four 'home nations', namely England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

England

England is possibly the most popular of the four 'home nations', and also the most populous, with almost 52 million inhabitants, both local and immigrants. England has, throughout its long history, been a land of opportunity. To many, England is the heart of the United Kingdom, and it's not hard to see why. The country is a melting pot of experiences - culture, history, adventure, scenery, people, cuisine, nightlife, shopping and more. From the footy fanatics roaming the streets and pubs, to the eccentric tea-drinkers, England is without a doubt one of the most enchanting places on earth.

A journey through England is a mesmerising one. Take a trip to the modern and vibrant city of London, or trove the ancient and historical wonders scattered throughout the country. England is a magical place, and you will be sure to find something of interest, whether you are a diplomat in town on business, or a holiday maker looking for a family friendly destination.

Wales

Wales lies on the western peninsula of the island of Great Britain, bordered by the East of England. It is here that visitors will be mesmerised by the sheer beauty and majesty of the country, not to mention the exceptional culture that separates the country from the rest of the UK. In Wales you will find stunning landscapes, wide open spaces and national parks.

But what makes Wales so special is the spirit of the people. A country steeped in a turbulent history, the people refuse to let the problems of the past creep into their everyday lives. Locals are as cheerful and welcoming as ever, so your trip will never be a lonely one. The spirit of Wales is strong and today the thriving country is home to a plethora of cultural aspects; art, film and rock music is world class, and has proven that Wales is indeed a country of character.

Scotland

Situated in north-western Europe and sharing a border with England, Scotland is often seen as a country of stereotypes - highlands, kilts, haggis, ginger hair, bagpipes and the Loch ness Monster, or Nessie. And as much as these are all integral to the history and culture of the country, it is not all that Scotland is about.

Despite its small size, Scotland rings true to the saying, 'Dynamite comes in small packages'. Scotland has something for all travellers - food enthusiasts, history boffins, nature lovers, wildlife watchers, and adventure seekers. So whether you want to engage in some history or culture, visit ancient castle or local country pubs, go canoeing or caber-tossing, or simply relax and enjoy some good old fashioned craic (lively conversation) from the locals, anything is possible in Scotland.

Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland is located on the island of Ireland, and despite its former reputation as being violent and unstable, the country has managed to rise above its shaky past to become the prosperous and safe country it once was. In Northern Ireland, variety abounds, and you are spoilt for choice by the array of attractions and activities available. These include breathtaking landscapes and scenery, thriving cities and historical remnants of its checkered past.
Today Northern Ireland is a rejuvenated city boasting a rosy future. Tour the country at your heart's content, and discover all that Northern Ireland stands for.
