Turkish Airlines is the national airline of Turkey, with its headquarters based in Istanbul. The airline operates scheduled services to various destinations around the world, including 120 international and 37 domestic destinations. Turkish Airlines therefore serves a total of 158 airports in Europe, Asia, Africa, and North and South America.The airline's main hub is at Ataturk International Airport, with secondary hubs at Esenboga International Airport, Sabiha Gokcen International Airport, and Adnan Menderes International Airport. In 2009 alone, Turkish Airlines carried 22.5 million passengers, making it the seventh biggest airline in Europe in terms of passengers carried. Currently, the airline employs 12 000 people and is a member of the Star Alliance.

Business class seating has a distance of 32-61 inches between seats. First class seating has a distance of 90 inches between seats. Seat requests cannot be made on code-share flights which are operated by partner airlines. Seats are not allocated to the infant passengers.
