Fly with TAAG Airlines

TAAG Airlines is also known as TAAG Angola Airlines and it is Angola’s national flag carrier. This airline has been in existence since 1938 and the Angolan government owns 100% of it. It used to be known as DTA – Divisão de dos Transportes Aereos, then DTA– Linhas Aéreas de Angola and then the airline’s name changed to TAAG, its current name, in 1974.
TAAG Airlines Checking In
Check-in desks close 30 minutes before departure. Desks for long haul flights close 40 minutes before the flight departs. You must check-in all bags, and all passengers travelling need to be present.
TAAG Airlines Carry-On Baggage
Travellers are allowed one bag and one personal item. Your carryon luggage may not weigh more than 5kgs. All carryon baggage must fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you. Baggage in excess of the free allowance is subject to extra charge.

Seats are assigned on a first come first served basis at check-in. The legroom is 32 inches.

Its original focus was on the domestic market but this has changed to include flights to countries within Africa as well as international destinations. TAAG Airlines flies to 29 destinations in Africa, 3 destinations in the Americas, 2 destinations in Asia, and 1 destination in Europe. Sixteen of the 29 African destinations are domestic. TAAG has 4 codeshare agreements with other airlines: Air France, Brussels Airlines, British Airways, and Lufthansa. This allows them to offer their customers a bigger variety of flights.
