Emirates - Special Baggage

Emirates Airlines special baggage can be carried free of charge as part of your free checked baggage allowance. If the total number of bags exceeds the maximum weight then you will need to pay extra bag charges. Special baggage may be carried as long as it meets the dimensions and weight restrictions.

Musical Instruments

Musical instruments can be carried as normal checked baggage, subject to the usual limitations. Musical Instruments can be carried as cabin baggage on an unoccupied seat in the passenger cabin if the instrument is within the usual size and weight limits for carry-on items. Ultimately you can buy a paid-for seat in the passenger cabin for your instrument if the instrument exceeds those limits.
