British Airways Domestic - Travelling with pets

British Airlines does allow travelling with pets. Pets must be booked to travel with British Airways World Cargo. Pets will be carried in the aircraft hold.
Domesticated pets will be accepted provided they are placed in a suitable container for transportation.
The container
Each animal must be placed in a container that has enough space for the animal to turn about normally while standing. The ventilation openings must be small enough so that paws/nose cannot protrude outside the container, but big enough that they can get enough oxygen. The container must be lockable.
Guide dogs
British Airlines allows Certified Assistance Dogs for blind, deaf or disabled passengers to travel free of charge in the aircraft cabin on most flights.
Fees
Charges differ for pets depending on the size of container, weight of your pet and distance being travelled. Additional handling, local government and customs clearance charges may apply.
Pet Travel Services
It is recommended you use Pet Travel Agent when travelling with domestic pets. Pet Travel Agent takes care of bookings, documentation, veterinary requirements and travel containers. They also arrange for your pet to be collected from your home and delivered at the destination. |
