British Airways International
British Airways, or BA, is one of the world's largest international airlines, carrying over 36 million passengers worldwide. It is also one of the oldest, most recognisable and reliable airlines, and has been regarded as a leader in safety, comfort, quality and affordability. The airline also boasts the largest fleet of aircraft of any other British airlines. Its main hubs are London Heathrow, the largest international airport in the world, and London Gatwick.
British Airways has announced that they will be cancelling two weekly flights between Cape Town International and London Heathrow for the duration of the South African winter season. The flights will be cancelled on the 27th of March 2016. Flight BA045 which flies on Thursdays and Saturdays and flight BA044 which flies on Fridays and Saturdays will be cancelled. These flights will more than likely be reintroduced at the start of the 2016/2017 summer season.
On 26 March 2015 British Airways made changes to seat
selection on hand luggage only fares. For bookings made on or after this date, British
Airways will allocate you a seat when you check-in. If you would like to change
your allocated seat, you will be able to do so for a particular fee. Please note that for hand luggage only bookings made on
or before March 26, 2015, free seat selection at check-in will still be

Travellers are required to check-in 45 minutes before departure. Online check-in closes one hour before departure. "Fast bag drop" machines are available to drop off any hold luggage if you've check-in online.
One item of luggage per passenger is permitted, with maximum dimensions of 22 x 18 x 10in. Additional to that, one personal item is permitted. Any items over the free allowance will be charged for excess luggage..
Seats can be reserved online when you make your reservation or when you check in. The legroom is 31 inches.
