Tourist Attractions /Activities
Port Elizabeth, also know was PE, is located on the Indian Ocean coast half-way between Cape Town and Durban. PE is popular for its water sports, historical attractions, museums and galleries. Port Elizabeth is a perfect complement to the Garden Route.
Alexandria Dune Fields is the largest coastal dune field in the southern hemisphere. Dunes are located just outside PE. For game viewing, there is the Addo Elephant National Park, Kragga Kamma Game Park and many privately owned game reserves in the area. You can either sleep in the camp or take self drives during the Day. White Rhino, Buffalo, Cheetah, Giraffe, Zebra roam the area.
PE is famous for its beaches and water sports on offer. Hobie, Humewood, Kings and Wells Estate Beach are the main swimming beaches.

Climate
Port Elizabeth, like Cape Town, is also referred to as the windy city. PE has a subtropical climate with light rain throughout the year. The area lies between the winter rainfall of the Western Cape and the summer rainfall of eastern South Africa. Winters are cool but mild. Summers are warm and considerably less humid. |
