Kulula.com special baggage items include bicycles, fishing gear, surfboards, and instruments. Special Kulula Airlines baggage items can only be carried if there is space. These items do not have a special rate, but rather form part of your 20kilogram baggage allowance. Any excess weight will be charged for at the airport at R25 per kilo.
If you do have special baggage, you are required to check-in no later than 90 minutes prior to departure.

There is a dedicated counter for bag drop offs at the airport. It is situated near the check-in counters. It is called the 'fast bag drop off' zone.
